This is the exact replacement return spring that comes on the Glock. I had no problems with my original spring and have fired hundreds of rounds with this replacement with no problems again. Even though I have the originals, I know they might fail and want to have a backup.

It was used in today's column. No defects, but it looks like a gen 4 spring, the one in the picture looks like a gen 3. Not too much of a problem in my opinion, but it seems to be stuck on field stripping, you really need to download it. The Gen 3 spring fits and pops out easily. The one on the right is my pistol and the one on the left is the one I ordered and came to me saying it was not exactly the same as the one listed.
I bought this to replace a Gen 2.5 G27 that runs 9mm (Wolf barrel), .40 S&W and .357 Sig (Glock Factory barrel). The original return spring assembly was a slog and the improvements far exceeded the original design. As a gunsmith, I'm not a fan of using non-Glock internals, so it's hard to comment on aftermarket return springs. I have had no issues with this pistol, so the G27 is a staple in my CCW arsenal.
Its Glock oem... That means it's proven reliable. That means a lot. I count my gun and when the recoil spring reaches about 1000 rounds I replace this part.
