Not far from Bucha, Ukrainian forces used Western-supplied anti-tank missiles to destroy another Russian convoy on a bridge that serves as the main route to Kiev.
Britain sent 2,000 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine in January, and most of those weapons are reported to have been sent to the country.
Armed with some Anglo-Swedish Next-Generation Light Anti-Tank Weapons (NLAW) launchers, Ukrainian forces attacked the Russian armored convoy.

Ukrainian Armed Forces Destroy Convoy Of Military Equipment, Official Documents Seized
It is not clear exactly when the attack took place, but images and videos show the charred shells of several Russian armored vehicles and the aftermath of the battle with garbage trucks on the streets of Bucha.
A few days ago, the mayor of Bucha, Anatoly Fedoruk, posted a video of the burning military vehicles on the side of the road: “The armed forces of Ukraine stopped the enemy column on Vokzalnaya Street in the city of Bucha.
Prior to the Russian invasion, the British military sent paratroopers to train the Ukrainian army to handle NLAW. The weapons are carried over the shoulder and can be fired from confined spaces making them more effective for assault tactics.
Ukraine's ambassador to London, Vadim Prystaiko, confirmed last week that UK-supplied anti-tank weapons were used to defend against Russian forces.

The Ukrainian military has said British NLAW missiles are a "game changer" when it comes to Russian weapons.
Last week, Armed Forces Minister James Heppe said anti-tank missiles had "already proven invaluable" in the conflict in Ukraine.
Mr Heppe said the government was aware of "several instances" where "anti-tank missiles were used to defeat Russian weapons".
"So we know their usefulness in open warfare at the early stages of a conflict, but also in any resistance or insurgency in urban areas".

Sam Cranney-Evans, a research analyst at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), told Forces News that both the Javelin anti-tank guided missile and the NLAW are useful in the war in Ukraine.
"They are accurate to 600m, potentially up to 1km and can be flown from fairly confined spaces," he said.
He denounced Russia's increasing attacks on crowded cities as a sinister terror campaign, and US President Joe Biden warned that the aggression would not stop with one country until the Russian leader "pays the price" of aggression.
"No one forgives. No one will forget," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed in the central square of Kharkiv, the country's second largest city, after Tuesday's bloodshed and the deadly bombing of a TV tower in Kiev.

As the video begins, Ukrainian Tans appear to have caught the retreating Russian fleet by surprise. This was evident from the haphazard spread of fire, which prompted the other side to stop and find out where the firing was coming from.
